Briumvi® (ublituximab-xiiy) is a monoclonal antibody therapy used to treat adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). It belongs to a group of medications called anti-CD20 therapies, which are designed to target and reduce B cells — immune cells that play a major role in the body’s attack on the nervous system in MS.
Briumvi® provides an effective and convenient treatment option for individuals needing B-cell–depleting therapy. It also features a shorter infusion time, making the treatment process more efficient and comfortable for patients.
The cost of Briumvi® can vary depending on several factors, such as your insurance plan and coverage. At Advanced Neurology Colorado, our goal is to make treatment more accessible and less stressful for every patient.
We partner with nearly all major insurance providers throughout Colorado — including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, and others — as well as Medicaid and Medicare.
Our dedicated infusion team handles prior authorizations and benefit verification on your behalf. We also guide you through available copay assistance and foundation programs to help lower out-of-pocket expenses and make treatment more affordable.
In multiple sclerosis (MS), the immune system mistakenly attacks the myelin sheath — the protective layer surrounding nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. When the myelin is damaged, nerve signals are disrupted, which can cause symptoms affecting coordination, balance, movement, speech, vision, and even bowel function.
One of the main immune cells involved in this process is the B cell, which carries a marker known as CD20. Briumvi® works by targeting the CD20 protein and removing these B cells before they can cause further damage.
While Briumvi® does not cure MS, it helps reduce inflammation and slow the disease’s progression by calming the immune system and protecting against further attacks.
Our infusion center is staffed by board-certified neurologists and experienced infusion nurses (BSN-prepared and Registered Nurses) who specialize in neurological care. Together, they ensure each patient receives safe, high-quality, and compassionate infusion treatment.
We manage prior authorizations and benefits verification while helping patients navigate copay and foundation assistance programs. Our goal is to reduce financial stress and make therapy as affordable as possible.
A Cigna study found that patients treated in physician-owned infusion centers — like Advanced Neurology Colorado’s Infusion Center — typically have much lower out-of-pocket and overall costs compared to those treated at hospital-based centers.
