Dr Beverly Gilder was born 7 of 8 children to a bricklayer in Greenville, MS. She knew since the age of 10 that she wanted to be a doctor. After attending Mississippi College on a full scholarship she received early acceptance to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, one of 10 women in a class of 150. Her mentor and chairman, Dr Robert Currier, had a particular interest in multiple sclerosis, but as she finished her residency she was drawn to neuromuscular diseases and did a fellowship in St Louis at Barnes Hospital and the Jerry Lewis Neuromuscular Center, with interest in autoimmune diseases. After a few years of private practice, in Maine and then Maryland, Dr Gilder moved to Colorado in 1992 to work at the Rocky Mountain MS Center, and found her home, geographically and neurologically. She has remained passionate about managing patients with MS over the years as the landscape of disease modifying therapies has changed dramatically over time, and is committed to diagnosing as soon as possible and helping patients get on treatments as soon as possible to prevent disability and improve quality of life. When not at work, she lives on a small ranch with her husband, who helps her care for a small menagerie, including horses, donkeys, dogs, and cats.

Dr. Dasari has been a God-send for my MS. He is incredibly knowledgeable and makes me feel heard. He allocates his time for me as a patient and I know I couldn’t manage this disease without him!
I felt heard with Dr. Lackey and appreciated how thorough he was in both explaining details in my MRI. He answered all questions and made sure I knew the plan. Grateful I was able to get in, knowing wait times are long in Northern Colorado.
